Trip to see Meiji shrine

My mom was able to come to Japan and spend the last two weeks with us. We're so happy to have her here with us during this holiday season. The boys really enjoyed spending time with their grandma who just loves to do anything with them. Over the holidays, my mom would spend about an hour or two in the morning doing math and reading workbooks, and hands on activities such as folding different types of paper airplanes and scientific experiments. One time my mom took them for a long walk to the PX, which is actually only 5 minutes away by car from where we live. Surprisingly, Keahnu sat on the stroller the whole entire time while Matthew rode his bike. They came back with two footlong sandwiches from the food court. The first thing Keahnu said after he came home was "Mommy, I got some lunch for you." Thank you Keahnu for being so kind and thoughtful. And thank you MOM for taking such good care of us. We sure will miss her very much.

Today, we took the opportunity to go visit the Meiji Jingu shrine in Tokyo. It was a crazy long day. We decided to take the train this time to go sightseeing. However, it didn't really work out as well as we planned. There were a lot people just about everywhere you go. One thing that I learned from today's experience was that Never go visit the shrine the day after New Year's Day. Although I have to admit that the food was really yummy. Here are some pictures from today's adventure. Hope you enjoy it.
